Two Modes: Highlight vs. Remove

Surligner les doublons visually marks repeated lines in your text so you can review them before deciding what to keep. This mode is ideal when you want context before deletion.

Supprimer les doublons immediately strips all repeated lines, keeping only the first occurrence of each unique entry. This mode is perfect for rapid list cleanup.

Common Use Cases

  • Email list hygiene — remove repeated subscriber addresses before a campaign send.
  • CSV deduplication — paste a column from a spreadsheet, clean it, paste it back.
  • Code review — check for accidentally duplicated import statements or CSS rules.
  • Data normalization — ensure unique entries in lookup tables or config files.

Questions fréquentes

How do I remove duplicates from a text list?
Paste your list into the tool, then click "Supprimer les doublons." The tool keeps the first occurrence of each unique line and eliminates all subsequent repetitions, returning a clean deduplicated list.
Does the duplicate checker differentiate between uppercase and lowercase?
Yes. The comparison is case-sensitive by default, meaning "Apple" and "apple" are treated as different lines. If you want case-insensitive deduplication, convert your text to lowercase first using the Case Converter tool, then run the duplicate remover.
Can I use this to clean email lists or CSV data?
Absolutely. Paste one entry per line and the tool will identify and remove any repeated entries. It is ideal for cleaning mailing lists, deduplicating database exports, and removing repeated rows from spreadsheet columns pasted as plain text.
What happens to blank lines when removing duplicates?
Blank lines are treated as a line type. If you have multiple blank lines, they will be deduplicated down to one. Use the Empty Line Remover tool after deduplication if you want all blank lines removed entirely.
